Working Group to End Global Poverty

Meeting monthly, a coalition of organizations and individuals meet to increase cooperation and information-sharing on themes, issues, or events that engage and mobilize the public to end global poverty and inequality. This working group arose from the Make Poverty History campaign.

STOP: Steps to Overcome Poverty

To mark the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, everyone is invited to a day-long public forum entitled STOP: Steps To Overcome Poverty, on Saturday, October 17, 2009 at the Vancouver Community College, City Centre campus. The day featured guest speakers, panel discussions, and opportunities to learn and share strategies around ending local and global poverty. 


Stand Up Take Action

On October 17th 2008 participants shared their pledges to end poverty. These photos were turned into a slideshow posted on Youtube.
