Day 2 : BC & Agenda 2030

Saturday, September 17 | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM – Hillel BC, UBC

Are you involved with work, projects, or initiatives that seek to tackle the evolving and complex global issues of our time? Are you seeking to be part of a movement that can shift the public discourse towards a holistic vision of how global issues transcend sectors? Would you like to connect with others aspiring to bring about positive sustainable change within our province, and world? On September 17th, sustainable development practitioners and social change agents from around the province will be gathering together to explore these questions and more.

Please join BCCIC for our Sustainable Development Conference which includes morning ‘unconference’ open space style explorative dialogues into BC’s leadership potential within the context of the new UN Sustainable Development Goals, a robust new global agenda that Canada has committed to which has interconnectedness and universality at its core recognizing that the world and those a part of it can no longer afford to work in silos. We would like to explore with you what this means for our province and the communities we live and work in. How can this be useful? How can we better collaborate for deeper impact?

The day will flow into afternoon small group workshops and reflective sessions on how as groups and individuals working on these issues we can move forward thinking about how our work might manifest together within the context of a provincial election year keeping in mind the strength that can be built with cohesion.
