I found the use of claymation for the youth profiles very cool, a neat tool for each person to express themselves in another way in their video. One person told me that it's something they want to definitely explore further in their own work in the future!

Wow, Daniel really has his languages down. What a great example of cross-cultural understanding - learning another's language says a lot about wanting to have a positive impact.

Aside from having inspiring stories, these youth are incredibly motivated and express a real desire to encourage and support others to ignite passion and find the change they want to see. Leadership defined!

As a previous teacher of Anika, I am so proud that she is working at something that is affecting an actual change. There is so much tokenism happens in our western society today. Anika, your whole school is proud of you and wishes you well in your future endeavours. If you get a chance, come back and show us how we can do more.

Great comment, Ron. As a result of Anika's work, have you seen other students' perceptions change reagrding how they can make a difference too?
By the way, Anika will be presenting this Friday the 4th at YouthFlix as part of the World Community Development Education Society's film festival in the Comox Valley. www.wcdes.ca

I find Elicia's profile particularly inspiring; her resilience is amazing and her desire to share it is all the more powerful.

The site looks fabulous. the youth videos are really inspiring.
They rock!
The youth do a great job of telling their stories. They all are doing so much already, it makes you wonder...what's next on the horizon for them?
