Annual Training Event for Volunteer Leaders
Volunteer BC will host two substance-packed days of workshops, panel discussions and networking sessions.
Keynote: Volunteering Legacy after the 2010 Olympic Games – Fact or Fiction.
- Researcher from the University of Canberra, Australia will share results on the impact the 2010 Olympics and Paralympics Games had on BC’s volunteer sector after the games. Research on this scale and with a focus on the results for the host community is the first of its kind.
Keynote:
- Alaina Podmorow of Little Women for Little Women in Afghanistan will be one of the keynote speakers, sharing her experience of engaging other youth in raising awareness of global human rights.
