BC's leading environmental organizations and labour unions are coming together to explore how greening the economy can be good for the planet and good for people too. This coming Friday evening Dave Foster, Executive Director of the BLUEGREEN ALLIANCE will share the story of how labour and environmental activists have collaborated in the United States to build common purpose. Following Dave's address, please stay for the social.....there will be refreshments and great dialogue!

David Foster is the Executive Director of the BlueGreen Alliance, a national partnership of labor unions and environmental organizations dedicated to expanding the number and quality of jobs in the green economy.

Launched by the United Steelworkers and Sierra Club in 2006, the BlueGreen Alliance has since grown to include the Communications Workers of America, Natural Resources Defense Council, Laborers' International Union of North America, Service Employees International Union, Utility Workers Union of America, American Federation of Teachers, Amalgamated Transit Union, and the Sheet Metal Workers' International Association - uniting more than eight and a half million people in pursuit of good jobs, a clean environment and a green economy.
