Global Learning Symposium: Dr. Martin Spencer

Dr. Martin Spencer, ophthalmologist and Seva Canada board member will speak about restoring sight and preventing blindness in the developing world. Venue: Stan Hagen Theatre, North Island College, Courtenay. This is event is sponsored by BCCIC and is co-hosted by the World Community Film Festival which will be screening the film "Infinite Vision", the story of Dr V, the legendary eye surgeon from South India who made it his mission to restore sight to the blind and the founder of Aravind Eye Care System, now the world's largest and most productive eye hospital, treating over 1.2 million patients annually.
