Global Learning Initiatives and CV GAN present “Addicted to Aid” and Discussion Panel

Join us for the Film & Discussion Panel on the topic of International Aid. Over the last 50 years, Africa has received US$592 billion dollars in aid yet all of the bottom 20 countries in the UN's Human Development Index are in Sub-Saharan Africa. This film presents a reasoned critique of the formulaic thinking and policy triumphalism of the development aid community that have given us this result and asks, is there a credible alternative to aid?
