Acts of Transformation: War Toys to Peace Art

Children and youth are invited to surrender their toys/video games of violence at the Ten Thousand Villages stores to be transformed into works of art Monday, September 12 through Tuesday, September 21st - United Nations International Day of Peace. This annual event, initiated at the 2006 World Peace Forum (resulting art was displayed at the Museum of Anthropology) presents an opportunity for discussion about values, peace and play within the family.
