Governance

Over the past 18 years, the Justice Education Society has been involved in international projects relating "good governance and democratic institution building." They rely on the best international practices and were developed so they may be adapted to different countries and social contexts. The Society is seen as a leader in Canada, working to engage civil society in the area of justice reform and governance and has won numerous international awards for its innovative programming.

IICRD is a Canadian leader in community-based, national, regional and international applications of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC). These applications are unique in that they provide a "culturally grounded" approach to children's rights that build on children's natural resiliency (strengths) as well as the strengths of families, communities and culture.

HOPE's mandate is to provide alternative technological and educational support to people in developing countries where environmental, economic, and/or social circumstances have interfered with the ability of local communities to sustain themselves by using traditional methods.
