Nicaragua

The Ken and Oli Johnstone Foundation is a Canadian charitable trust whose assets came from the estate of Ken and Oli Johnstone of Vancouver, BC.

The mission of the Foundation is "to help people help themselves to improve the quality of their lives and that of future generations." The primary focus of the foundation is international development.

The Nicaragua Children's Foundation, created in 2006, is dedicated to providing help and support to the children of Nicaragua. We support schools in and around the area of San Juan Del Sur, Nicaragua. We have recently established a fully operational special needs school, Los Pipitos. We also contribute to the operation of two other elementary schools. The focus for the Nicaraguan Children's Foundation is to continue to improve the quality of education for the children of Nicaragua.

Oxfam Canada works with people to secure their basic human rights, combining support to long-term development and humanitarian responses with research, advocacy and campaigning against the root causes of poverty and injustice.
