Vancouver – April 22nd, 2016 – The British Columbia Council for International Cooperation (BCCIC) is putting out an immediate, time bound call for BC youth to step forward to form a youth delegation selection committee.
The committee will be meeting under a very tight deadline to self-select for youth representation at a federal level with British Columbian participation. Youth applying to this committee will forfeit their ability to apply for the delegate selection itself and must sign a conflict of interest policy document in order to participate. There is no compensation for this opportunity other than deep appreciation from the network.
This committee would be charged with formulating and executing a self-selection process in which youth will have the ability to choose their own representatives regarding a youth delegate needed to interface with the Canadian government in a high level ministerial context in the near future.
The youth on this committee will be between the ages of 18 and 30 inclusively and must be Canadian citizens or Permanent Residents and must be either members of BCCIC or members of an organization with membership in good standing.
Interested youth are asked to step forward by emailing Michael Simpson immediately at email@example.com
The work will commence and be completed this Monday, April 25th, 2016. If you are a qualified youth, with a passion for making sure youth are involved in policy discussions and global affairs then this is your weekend of opportunity to make sure the right person is selected. Don’t hesitate.
