Burkas2Bullets will be premiering at SFU Woodwards Djavad Mowafaghian Theatre on March 3rd at 7 p.m. Entry is free. A small donation is encouraged to support an Afghan Orphanage, Maraston. This event is being co-hosted by Alison Maclean and the SFU International Studies Student Association.
Join us, and be inspired by the strong and dedicated Afghan Military and Police Women in the film, as well as their allies in the Coalition.
After the film, there will be a Q&A session with the production team for the film.

Tomboy Digital Productions is a Vancouver-based company, launched in 2010. Currently owned/directed by Alison MacLean, Tomboy Digital has worked on a diverse range of projects, including award-winning Series/ Documentaries such as “The Power and the Grace”, “Russia: A Changing Face”, Womensport, and most recently, Burkas2Bullets, which was inspired by “Outside the Wire”, Alison’s 2010 documentary which was featured on the W Network and Canadian Service in Afghanistan. The SFU International Studies Student Association (ISSA) represents the interests and concerns of Simon Fraser University’s International Studies students, as well as organises social and educational events to ensure a positive experience for students. The ISSA also works actively with the International Studies Department and SFU to address important and relevant issues that impact students, such as program funding, enrollment, student opportunities, and course availability.
