Bringing the Invisible Mosaic Together: BCCIC Annual Membership Showcase & Forum 2017 (Day 2)

Saturday, September 23 | 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM – SFU Harbour Centre – Segal Centre

Did you know that there are over 2200 groups in British Columbia working on global issues? We’ve been meeting with groups and mapping for months working to establish connections to bring us all together.

Join the BC Council for International Cooperation for the biggest event of the year! On Saturday, September 23 we invite all of our members, groups working on sustianable development, groups interested in sustainable development, indviduals keen on making a difference, and those seeking to converse and collaborate with fellow British Columbians on how we can be moving toward a better world and how we can work together to achieve it.

Come find out what the BCCIC network is all about: Participate fully in discussions, join facilitated sessions about all kinds of global and social justice issues, find out how your voice and what you do connects to the bigger picture.

This full day program will feature presentations, discussions, and collaboration where YOU set the agenda! Talk about what needs to be talked about. Ask the questions that you’ve got burning in your mind. We’ve got a room full of fantastic humans engaged in global issues and social justice, whatever you’ve got, bring it to the table! We aim to curate the community space for these discussions to take place.

Over the course of the day we will discuss gender equality, education, climate change and more!

What to expect:

The day will be split in half with the first half of the day showcasing BCCIC members, the work they are doing, and a series of member-led discussions and workshops on a diversity of issues TBA. We will be announcing session topics on Facebook and Twitter over the weeks to come, so watch @BCCIC for announcements!

SShhhhhh…The second half of the day we are keeping under wraps. It’s the most important part! (You won’t want to miss it).

Throughout the day there will be opportunities to network, have on-on-one conversations, and learn more about the work British Columbians are doing to progress on the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Attention BCCIC Members: Host a Session

In response to an articulated desire to learn and share, we are pleased to announce that the second day of BCCIC’s Annual Membership Form will be dedicated to members sharing their work and having the opportunity to learn about what others are doing. To generate ideas, you can submit anything you like! Think about what will make the experience of connecting with other members the most meaningful for you.

Contact Kareen at for further information and access to the Session Form.
